Hey Friend,

This is Harrison, What is my frame for every daily letter?

Life changes when you change. Life gets better when you get better.

But, which you?

My assertion, who you think yourself to be and what you think is possible for your life.

When that evolves, new actions are taken, and a new world is seen. How? Why? Because the eyes that see the world are different.

As Carl Jung famously said, people don’t have ideas, ideas have people.

The below quote is an ideas that if internalized can change how you view the world.

“The Journey of True discovery lies not in finding new lands, but in looking through new eyes.” - Marcel Proust

How can I look through new eyes? What is the surest way to shift my perception and grow?

Plant and cultivate powerful ideas. Ideas change the world, and they most certainly change our individual world.

They change the world you see, but more so, that which sees.

They change you.

Again, they change the eyes through which you see the world. Ideas have the power to change the seeker, and what you are seeking. They illuminate a new world, new potentials, and new patterns of actions to bring “it” to life.

As the famous quote goes, once a mind has been expanded by an idea, concept, or experience it can never be satisfied to go back to the way it is - that’s the call, and also the remedy.

Expand, as consistently as possible.

Do I feel sterility, stagnancy, a complacency, a loss of the magic of life? Does life feel dark? Disorienting? Then I have not found my spark today.

A fire in order to start needs a spark, then it needs to be fed consistently. It needs constant cultivation. That is the aim of this blog. One idea a day.

Over time, the change, the evolution, the texture and depth of thought that is available will be undeniable - and a separator, between you and others.

The world is going faster and faster, I want to find what has never moved. We are in search of the string of truth that each soul has lived upon.

We will wrestle with ideas. As Saint Irenaeus once said “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.” A human being inspired. A human being set on fire towards the highest good, filled with the timeless call, awakened to the foundational truths.

Let’s commit to ourselves. Do today what our future selves will thank us for - fill our minds with the greatest wisdom of the past, so we may orient and walk intelligently into the future.

One idea a day.

Why do I start all Notes with Hey Friend?

The Timeless Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, though a scholar may bury himself in books, when he goes to write a dissertation the wealth of wisdom may be run dry; though, he pulls out a pen to write to a friend, lo! And behold, the wellsprings of the soul overflows, wisdom he has not yet seen, songs he has not yet heard. The affection for one has brought out wisdom for all… Or something like that.

There is a sincerity that I hope comes across. I am writing to you, me, the seeker. Someone who wants… who wants more, to become more, to feel more, to experience all life has to offer.

So, these are notes to a friend.
